Buckinghamshire

The Buckinghamshire Grammar Schools (TBGS) is a company set up to manage and administer The Buckinghamshire Secondary Transfer Test (STT) for the thirteen grammar schools in the county. The schools operate a coordinated selection system with children sitting a common secondary transfer test shared by all thirteen schools.

Kent

The 11 plus test in Kent is often referred to as the Kent Test or the Kent Procedure for Entrance into Secondary Education (PESE). It includes two papers, the first of which covers Maths and English, the second of which contains Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. There is also a creative writing exercise.

Hertfordshire

Hertfordshire operates a Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme. This also includes the partially-selective schools in this section. There are seven schools which run a combined 11+ exam as the South West Herts Schools Consortium. There are a further six schools which operate their own 11+ exams.

Medway Towns

All six of the Medway grammar schools use the same test, known as the "Medway Test" which is produced by GL Assessment. If you would like your child to be considered for a Medway grammar school they will need to sit the Medway Test (Medway's 11+).

Surrey

There are no selective schools within the Surrey County Council boundaries so parents often look to send their children to grammar schools in the neighbouring boroughs of Kingston upon Thames and Sutton.
